She also explained that she needs to ensure that he is an appropriate candidate for veneers by taking a closer look at his teeth and taking a model of his teeth.

Before removing any enamel, Dr. Hanna wanted to ensure that Jeffrey is not in pain by asking if he would like local anesthesia during the procedure. In Jeffrey’s next visit he’ll come back to our Gilbert office, and Dr. Hanna Mansoor will permanently place the porcelain veneer, she will place a desensitizer to help with any cold/ hot sensitivity. Dr. Hanna will make sure they are polished and free of any cement. Dr. Hanna will also check to make sure the bite is perfect and comfortable. She explains to Jeffrey that he may have a slight sensitivity to hot and cold foods and his gums may be a bit sensitive at first. These effects typically only last a few days and are still pain-free. Dental veneers are permanent and you are to care for them just like you would your normal teeth. They require minimal maintenance and they’ll typically last a lifetime.
