When most patients think of orthodontic care, they imagine noticeable metal brackets and wires on a person’s smile. While these types of braces may work for younger patients, adults in the professional world may refuse to pursue their dreams of a straighter smile so that they can maintain their current, natural look. Thankfully, Dr. Hanna Mansoor and her team in Gilbert, AZ offer a popular alternative – Invisalign. By utilizing clear aligners instead of traditional braces, Invisalign treatment can make all the difference for your smile while allowing you to maintain your self-confidence.

How does Invisalign treatment work?
First, Dr. Hanna will use specialized software to create both a detailed impression of your teeth and an ideal plan for correcting their alignment. This information is then sent to the Invisalign lab, which will send back a series of personalized aligners, each one designed to represent a different stage of your treatment. All patients need to do is wear each aligner for the prescribed amount of time (usually a couple of weeks) and then switch to the next one. Attending regular appointments at our Gilbert dental office will also be required so that Dr. Hanna can keep a close eye on your progress and ensure that it’s going smoothly.
Besides its clear aesthetic value, Invisalign also offers patients other great benefits when compared to traditional orthodontics. The aligners you’ll wear are removable, which means you won’t have to make any changes to your diet to accommodate them. There are no uncomfortable wires or brackets to worry about – only smooth plastic that’s been customized to fit your unique smile. Best of all, treatment is typically completed in 8-18 months.
